ORDINANCE NO 26A <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 26, PASSED BY THE THEN VILLAGE <br />COUNCIL ON JULY 26, 1960, BY ADDING SECTION 1A, DEFINING THE WORDS <br />FOWL AND HOUSEHOLD PETS AND BY ADDING A SECTION THERETO PROHIBITING <br />NUISANCES. <br />The City Council of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota, ordians: <br />SECTION I. Ordinance No. 26, of the City of Lino Lakes, passed by <br />the then Village Council on July 25, 1960, is hereby amended by adding <br />thereto the following: <br />SECTION 1A. DEFINITIONS. <br />When used in this Ordinance, the following terms shall be assigned <br />the following meanings: <br />ANIMALS Shall mean and include horses, mules, donkeys, cattle, <br />sheep, goats, pigs, rabbits, skunks, fox, racoons, mink and other <br />similar animate beings which are endowed with the power of voluntary <br />motion. <br />FOWL - Shall mean and include all birds of any kind, including <br />poultry,chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, pigeons, gallinaceous birds, <br />and other similar birds. <br />HOUSEHOLD PETS - Shall mean and include those animals and fowl <br />ordinarily kept as pets, such as dogs, cats, skunks, rabbits, racoons <br />and similar animals and such as canaries, chickens, ducks, pigeons, and <br />similar birds, but shall not include horses, mules, donkeys, cattle, <br />sheep, goats or pigs, <br />SECTION II. <br />Said Ordinance No. 26 is further amended by adding thereto the <br />following. <br />SECTION 2 A. No person shall suffer or allow any animal or fowl to <br />disturb the peace and quiet of the City or to otherwise become a public <br />nuisance so as to annoy, injure or endanger the health, safety, comfort <br />or repose of the public or in any way render the inhabitants of the City <br />of Lino Lakes, or a considerable number thereof, insecure in life or <br />in use of property. <br />SECTION III. <br />Save as herein amended said Ordinance No. 26 shall stand and be in full <br />force and effect as passed and previously amended. <br />Passed by the City Council this 23rd day of October, 1978. <br />Harvey F.
