C. All tests herein required shall be taken by an accredited <br />soils testing laboratory and paid for by the developer of a project <br />where a new street is being constructed or by the contractor in <br />other projects. <br />D. Grade stakes shall be required before any street construction <br />begins. Bluetop stakes shall be required on the subgrade and on the <br />gravel base. All such stakes shall be checked for accuracy by the <br />City Engineer. <br />E. All new streets shall be warranted by the Developer and by <br />the contractor on all other streets, as to good workmanlike construc- <br />tion and to meet all City requirements for a period of one (1) year <br />from the time the final inspection of such street has been completed <br />and the City Council has accepted the same for full City maintenance. <br />A surety bond, or other form of surety to be approved by the City <br />Council, shall be deposited with the City for the sum of 20 percent of <br />the total original cost of construction to assure performance in <br />compliance with this Section. <br />This section shall not relieve the developer and contractor from <br />the usual contract obligations of good and workmanlike construction. <br />F. The City shall have its Engineering Staff or the City <br />Engineer furnish a full time project inspector who shall be present <br />during all work on street construction or radical improvement of <br />streets. The developer of all new streets shall reimburse the City <br />for all costs incurred for the inspection of such project. <br />SECTION IV. <br />Said Ordinance No. 22 is further hereby amended by adding the <br />following: <br />SECTION 20B. CONTRACTOR TO NOTIFY CITY ENGINEER <br />The contractor on any street construction or radical street <br />improvement in the City of Lino Lakes, shall notify the City Engineer, <br />in writing, three (3) working days before commencing any street <br />construction or radical street improvement. <br />SECTION V. <br />Save as herein amended, said Ordinance No. 22 shall be in full <br />force and effect as initially adopted. <br />
