cl <br />ORDINANCE NO. 56-W <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 56 ENTITLED ZONING REGULATIONS <br />ADOPTED JUNE 12, 1972. <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO LAKES HEREBY ORDAINS: <br />Ordinance No. 56 is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />SECTION 1. The purpose of this ordinance is to maintain property values <br />and otherwise promote the health, safety, order and convenience, and <br />general welfare by defining manufactured homes, by regulating the location <br />and the use of such manufactured homes and establishing minimum standards <br />for design and construction in conformance with the recently adopted <br />legislation by the State of Minnesota, Minnesota Laws 182, Chapter 490. <br />Such law takes effect on August 1, 1982 and it is necessary to pass this <br />ordinance as an emergency ordinance under the provisions of the Lino Lakes <br />City Charter in order to preserve the integrity of the existing residential <br />structures within the City. <br />SECTION 2. Section 3.02 DEFINITIONS is amended to read as follows: <br />Dwelling, One Family, Two Family: A detached <br />building designed for or occupied by, not more <br />than one or two families respectively and shall <br />include manufactured homes as defined herein. <br />SECTION 3. Section 3.02 DEFINITIONS is amended to add the following <br />definition: <br />Manufactured Home: A manufactured home means a structure, <br />transportable in one or more sections, which in the traveling <br />mode, is eight body feet or more in width, or forty body feet <br />or more in length, or, when erected on site, is 320 or more <br />square feet, and which is built on a permanent chassis and <br />designed to be used as a dwelling with or without permanent <br />foundation when connected to the required utilities, and includes <br />the plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and electrical systems <br />contained therein; except that the term includes any structure <br />which meets all the requirements and with respect to which the <br />manufacturer voluntarily files a certificate required by the <br />Secretary of the United States Department of Housing and Urban <br />Development and complies with the standards established under <br />Minnesota Statute 327 including the Manufactured Home Building <br />Code adopted therein. <br />
