CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 19-36 <br />AWARD CONTRACTS FOR ARENA ACRES PARK PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the City Council authorized staff to proceed with the construction of a <br />tennis court at Arena Acres Park during the October 1, 2018 City Council work session; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, this project is divided into two parts — Site Improvements (earthwork, <br />aggregate, court and trail paving, court painting/striping), and Fencing; and <br />WHEREAS, quotes were received on March 12, 2019 as follows: <br />SITE IMPROVEMENTS <br />FENCING <br />CONTRACTOR <br />TOTAL BID <br />CONTRACTOR <br />TOTAL BID <br />Midwest Asphalt <br />$70,487.10 <br />Century Fence <br />$16,174.80 <br />Bituminous Roadways <br />$71,276.90 <br />Peterson Companies <br />$16,920.00 <br />Barber Construction <br />$85,569.00 <br />Midwest Fence <br />$17,586.00 <br />New Look Contracting <br />$91,850.01 <br />WHEREAS, the low site improvements bid was submitted by Midwest Asphalt in the amount of <br />$70,487.10, and the low fencing bid was submitted by Century Fence in the amount of <br />$16,174.80; and <br />WHEREAS, funding is from the Park and Trail Improvement Fund. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the City Council hereby authorizes staff to enter <br />into contracts with Midwest Asphalt and Century Fence for the Arena Acres Park Project. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 25th day of March, 2019. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />Rafferty and was duly seconded by Council Member Maher and upon <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Rafferty, Maher, Manthey, Stoesz, Reinert <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />Jeff Reinert, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Juliaintle Bartell, City 9lerk <br />
