<br />Capital Asset and Debt Administration
<br />
<br />Capital assets. The City’s investment in capital assets for its governmental and business-
<br />type activities as of December 31, 2018, amounted to $76,811,646 (net of accumulated
<br />depreciation), an increase of $2,368,669 from the prior year. This investment in capital
<br />assets includes land, wetland credits, construction in progress, buildings, equipment,
<br />vehicles, and infrastructure. The City completed the Birch Street turn lane and utility
<br />improvements, Phase II of the upgrades to the Civic Complex air conditioning system, the
<br />Council Chambers upgrade, and Century Farms North trail improvements. The City has
<br />continued to work to complete the land preparation activities for NorthPointe Park in 2018.
<br />In addition, the City started trunk watermain and trail improvements on Lake Drive, trunk
<br />utility improvements at 49&J, drainage improvements in the NE Area of the City, Water
<br />Tower #3, Phase II of the controls automation upgrade at the Civic Complex, Woods Edge
<br />Park improvements, and street and utility improvements in the West Shadow Lake Drive and
<br />LaMotte areas. Developer lead infrastructure improvements at various stages of completion
<br />include NorthPointe 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th Additions, Saddle Club 3rdAddition, Century Farms
<br />6th and 7th Additions, St Clair Estates, and Chavez Estates.
