COUNCIL MINUTES <br />June 241, 2019 <br />APPROVED <br />86 Mayor Reinertopened the public hearing. There being no one present wishing to speak, the public <br />87 hearing was closed. <br />88 <br />89 Council Member Manthey moved to approve the First Reading of Ordinance No. 0 8- 19 as presented. <br />90 Council Member Stoesz seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br />91 <br />92 6C) Consider Resolution 19-81, Approving Land Acquisition from Estate of Margaret <br />93 Carpenter (7685 Lake Drive) - Community Development Director Grochala reported that this <br />94 acquisition is recommended based on a review of the City's Economic Development Advisory <br />95 Committee (EDAC) for future road extension and redevelopment in the area. The property owner <br />96 has come forward offering the property for sale. <br />97 <br />98 Mayor Reinert explained that acquisition of this property relates to a future roadway alignment with <br />99 Marketplace Drive. The current streetway would then be available for development. <br />100 <br />101 Council Member Manthey moved to approve Resolution No. 1941 as presented. Council Member <br />102 Stoesz seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br />103 <br />104 6D) Consider Resolution No. 19-80, Approving Change Order No. 1, 2019 Mill and Overlay <br />105 Project — City Engineer Hankee explained that the change order is requested based on a previous <br />106 discussion with the council to add replacement of certain gate valves to the scope of the Mill and <br />107 Overlay Project. Based on additional valve issues this past weekend, along with the change order, <br />108 staff is recommending doing some additional exploratory discovery and getting back to the council <br />109 with more data. She added that the contractor is scheduled for July 8, weather permitting. <br />110 <br />111 Council Member Stoesz asked if staff has a communication plan to residents that could experience <br />112 outages. Ms. Hankee said they have a plan and utilize door hangers generally; an email list will be <br />113 attempted. <br />114 <br />115 Council Member Manthey thanked staff for keeping the council up to date on the situation; further <br />116 exploration is a good idea. <br />117 <br />118 Council Member Manthey moved to approve Resolution No. 19-80 as presented.
