Planning & Zoning Board <br />June 12, 2019 <br />Page 4 <br />DRAFT MINUTES <br />ordinance was changed back in 2003 because of the excessive width. Other than the <br />window, the 26 feet dates back to the early 70’s. <br /> <br />Ms. Larsen stated the house is 15 feet back from the lot line. He applicant currently <br />has the ability to widen the driveway 8 feet. <br /> <br />Mike Settimi, 1393 Hunters Ridge, explained why he would like a variance. The <br />applicant has gained approval from the neighborhood architecture committee. <br /> <br />Mr. Root sympathizes with the need for a 30 foot wide driveway. He suggested <br />expanding the driveway but not squaring it off. <br /> <br />To stay consistent, Mr. Evenson cannot support the variance. He supports a change in <br />the ordinance. <br /> <br />Mr. Ruhland supports the variance because of when the property was built. <br /> <br />Ms. Peacock asked how many people are driving. Mr. Settimi stated 4 cars with 2 <br />vehicles coming often. <br /> <br />Rob Rafferty, 1573 Merganser Court, was present and introduced himself. <br /> <br />Chair Tralle suggested a conversation with Council regarding driveway widths. <br /> <br />Mr. Evenson made a MOTION to approve the denial of 1393 Hunters Ridge – <br />Variance for Curb Cut/Driveway Width. Motion was supported by Root. Motion <br />carried 5-1. <br /> <br />VIII. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br /> <br />A. Project updates <br /> <br />Staff had positive conversations with the Council regarding tax increment financing <br />for Lyngblomsten. The applicant wants to be building by October 2019. <br /> <br />Birch Street mill and overlay project will take place east of the S curve. The balance <br />of the project, from Ware Road to the S curve, will happen in 2021. <br /> <br />Eastside Villas grading is in process. <br /> <br />Water tower #3 will be going out for bid. <br /> <br />Saddle Club 4th Addition was approved by City Council. <br /> <br />Lino Lakes Mini Storage earth work is taking place. <br />
