CITY - 0F IN0 AKES DATE . August 5 , 2019 TO : Park Board Members FROM : Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director RE : Blue Heron Days Update The Public Services Department is working on the final touches for the Blue Heron Days celebration which will be held August 16- 18 . In conjunction with running Blue Heron Days, the Public Services Department will also have a Parks & Recreation promotional table at the Quad Area Chamber of Commerce Business & Art Expo at Lino Park . This table will provide residents with information about upcoming programs, events, and activities . Due to staffing levels , and the demand of employees to work Blue Heron Days, this table will be checked on throughout the day but would not be manned the entire event . We invite Park Board members to sign - up to be at the table during the event to help with the table ( keep it organized , put out more materials as necessary, provide guidance on where residents can obtain answer to their questions, as well as hear from residents' concerns and request regarding their parks & trails ) . We believe this will be a great opportunity for Park Board Members to be visible and available to the public and invite you to sign up for a 1hr shift to help at the table .
