<br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 6C <br /> <br /> <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Michael Grochala <br /> <br />MEETING DATE: June 10, 2019 <br /> <br />TOPIC : Consider Resolution No. 19-71, Accepting Quotes and Awarding a <br />Construction Contract, Well No. 7 Screened Test Well <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 Vote Required <br /> <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />Staff is requesting authorization to accept quotes and award the construction contract for the <br />Well No. 7 screened test well. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />The City Council authorized the Well No. 7 Feasibility Study on December 10, 2018. The <br />study included construction a test well to determine if the proposed site would produce a cost- <br />effective pumping volume and water quality. After determining that a bed rock test well was <br />not feasible for the site, a request for quotation was sent out to construct a screened test well. <br />Due to the complicated nature of the work and equipment necessary to complete the work, one <br />quote was received. <br /> <br />CONTRACTOR TOTAL QUOTE <br />Traut Companies $74,360.00 <br />E.H. Renner & Sons No Quote Received <br />Bergerson-Caswell Inc. No Quote Received <br /> <br />Funding for this project is through the trunk water fund. The completion date for this project is <br />July 15th, 2019. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Staff recommends adoption of Resolution No. 19-71 accepting quotes and awarding a <br />construction contract for the Screened Test Well No. 7 Project, in the amount of $74,360.00 to <br />Traut Companies. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br /> <br />1.
