CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 19-86 AUTHORIZING A TEMPORARY ON-SALE LIQUOR LICENSE AND A SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT DURING THE ANNUAL BLUE HERON DAYS FESTIVAL FOR AN EVENT HELD AT THE AMERICAN LEGION POST 566 ON AUGUST 15, 16 & 17, 2019 WHERAS, the Commander of American Legion Post 566 has submitted an application for a special event permit; and WHERAS, the event plan includes live music outside from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday after the parade as well as a picnic BBQ. WHERAS, the Legion has indicated that all patrons or members attending the event will receive a proper identification check to ensure no underage alcohol service will occur; and WHERAS, the Public Safety Department has reviewed plans for the event which includes erecting a canopy. The Public Safety Department has provided conditions for the permit; and WHERAS, the Public Safety Department has reviewed the application and event plans; and WHERAS, proof of general liability insurance has been submitted by the American Legion to cover all events held on their property as well as the event held on city property; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Minnesota: That the City Council authorizes issuance of a Special Event Permit to the American Legion Post 566 for their events scheduled on August 15, 16 & 17, 2019, with the conditions attached hereto. Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 8th day of July, 2019.
