Mr. Michael Grochala August 23, 2019 Page 3 III. WATER TOWER POST CONSTRUCTION SERVICES (2-YEAR WARRANTY) WSB and KLM Engineering will provide post construction services for the 2-year warranty. KLM Engineering will also provide a 2-year warranty inspection of the water tower (included in attached proposal). IV. WATER TOWER MATERIAL TESTING SERVICES WSB will provide material testing services for the soil compaction and concrete testing. A concrete composite water tower requires a significant amount of concrete testing for the multiple concrete pours that will be completed. V. PARK SITE GRADING CONSTRUCTION OBSERVATION WSB will also provide construction observation for the grading of the adjacent park site. This may require a second construction observer (separate from the water tower construction). V. SCHEDULE AND ESTIMATED FEES A. Project Schedule We have estimated the time for the project to begin immediately after City authorization. The proposed schedule includes the following milestone dates: Task Dates City Council Authorization to Proceed August 26, 2019 Begin Construction September 16, 2019 Substantial Completion (Water Tower in Service) August 2, 2021 Final Completion September 2, 2021 2-Year Warranty Inspection September 2021 B. Estimated Fees Compensation for tasks shall be on an hourly basis, based on the actual hours worked for personnel assigned to the project. We propose to perform these services for the following estimated fees. The proposed fees represent approximately 6.6 percent of the construction cost. Phase Estimated Fees I.
