Mr. Michael Grochala <br />August 23, 2019 <br />Page 2 <br />b) Attend and conduct a pre -construction conference with the Contractor, City staff, and <br />private utilities. <br />c) Review and distribute all shop drawings submitted by the Contractor. <br />d) Review and make recommendation for applications for payment submitted by the <br />Contractor. <br />e) Administer the contract and prepare modifications as necessary. <br />f) Make visits to the site at intervals appropriate to the various stages of construction and <br />determine if the work is proceeding in general accordance with the Contract <br />Documents. <br />g) Attend construction progress meetings and provide updates to the City. <br />h) Communicate daily with the design team, the Resident Project Representative (RPR), <br />and the City as necessary. <br />i) Review material testing reports. <br />j) Review operation and maintenance manuals. <br />k) Prepare and distribute contractor punch lists. <br />I) Maintain office files for shop drawings, correspondence, meeting reports, applications <br />for payment, material testing reports, requests for information, field orders, change <br />orders, etc. <br />m) Prepare construction record drawings for underground utilities. <br />2. Construction Observation <br />The RPR will serve the following roles for this project: <br />a) Serve as the liaison with the Contractor superintendent. <br />b) Determine if the work is proceeding in general accordance with the Contract <br />Documents and A W WA D-100 standards. <br />c) Assist in helping the Contractor understand the intent of the Contract Documents and <br />communicate with the design team whenever necessary. <br />d) Maintain job site files for shop drawings, correspondence, meeting reports, field <br />orders, change orders, etc.. <br />e) Review the Contractor's applications for payment with the Engineer. <br />f) Schedule the survey crew based on the staking requests received by the Contractor's <br />representative. <br />3. Construction Surveying and Staking <br />We will provide construction surveying and staking for the following: construction limits, <br />water tower structure, water lines, and any other stakes necessary to construct the project <br />elements. <br />H. WATER TOWER CONSTRUCTION OBSERVATION BY KLM <br />KLM Engineering will provide construction observation of the welding and the <br />coating systems for the upper steel tank bowl. KLM's proposal to provide these <br />services is attached. <br />
