CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 19-119 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT WITH ELECTRO WATCHMAN, INC <br />WHEREAS, There have been significant issues with the existing access control systems at the <br />Civic Complex, Fire Station #1, and Fire Station #2; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff has worked with the current vendor to attempt to resolve these issues. Staff and <br />the existing vendor have come to the conclusion that any further modifications will not eliminate <br />some of the issues we continue to experience; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff is recommending entering into a contract with Electro Watchman, Inc. to <br />replace the existing access control equipment with Lenel/S2 hardware and administration software <br />at all three locations, and <br />WHEREAS, The total project cost is $29,958.97. This includes replacing the outdoor card reader <br />pedestal for the Police Department ($1,020.44) and upgrading one card reader at each fire station <br />with a card reader/keypad ($1,000.38), and <br />WHEREAS, Staff is recommending funding from the General Operating - Government Buildings <br />Fund. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, <br />Minnesota: <br />Staff is authorized to enter into an agreement with Electro Watchman, Inc., to replace the existing <br />access control equipment hardware and administration software at the Civic Complex, Fire Station <br />#1, and Fire Station #2. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 23`d day of September, 2019. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />Maher and was duly seconded by Council Member Manthey and upon <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Maher, Manthey, Stoesz, Reinert <br />The following voted against same: <br />none (Absent - Rafferty) <br />ATTEST: <br />e Bartell, Cit <br />Clerk <br />Jeff Reinert, a o <br />
