Well House No. 7 Feasibility Study
City of Lino Lakes, MN
WSB Project No. 013434-000 Page 2
2. SITE ASSEMENT
The site of the historical house (Site) owned by Anoka County is located within the southwest corner of
509 Birch Street property in Lino Lakes (see Figure 1). The site was analyzed based on distance to the
existing water distribution system, site topography, setback distances from potential sources of
contamination, local water quality, and property availability.
2.1 EXISTING SITE CONDITIONS
The site is within the 509 Birch Street property and is located within 100-feet of the existing 16-inch trunk
watermain. The site is relatively flat, with a slight rise from the southwest to northeast. Topographic
information indicates that the site’s elevation ranges from 898-ft to 900-ft (see Figure 1).
The property has a two-story brick house located in the center of the property. During a site investigation,
two abandoned wells and an abandoned cesspool were discovered. As of September 2019, Anoka
County has had both wells sealed and the cesspool excavated and removed from the site. With the
removal of the abandoned wells and cesspool, there are no known potential contaminant sources that
would be of concern during the development of this site for a future well house and production well.
Existing Site - 2019
