COUNCIL MINUTESSeptember 23, 2013 <br />DRAFT <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />1 <br />MINUTES <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />DATE:September 23, 2013 <br />5 <br />TIME STARTED:6:30 p.m. <br />6 <br />TIME ENDED:6:55 p.m. <br />7 <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Council Member Stoesz, Rafferty, <br />8 <br />Roeser,and Mayor Reinert <br />9 <br />MEMBERS ABSENT:Council Member O’Donnell <br />10 <br />11 <br />Staff members present: City Administrator Jeff Karlson;Community Development DirectorMichael <br />12 <br />Grochala; City Engineer Jason Wedel; and City ClerkJulie Bartell <br />13 <br />14 <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />15 <br />16 <br />Adam Lamere, Lakes Liquor, and Sergei Nazaranka, Eagle Liquor, asked the council to consider <br />17 <br />limiting off-sale liquor licenses in the city. There is a new store opening soonin the city and <br />18 <br />additional off-sale is not needed. They will continue to operate their stores but they predict stores will <br />19 <br />be closed. They would like to continue the discussion and want the council to revisit the issue. The <br />20 <br />mayor responded that the council has recently discussed the matter and determined that there isn’t <br />21 <br />anything to be done; allowing the market to regulate is best for Lino Lakes’ residents. <br />22 <br />23 <br />SETTING THE AGENDA <br />24 <br />25 <br />Theagenda was approved as presented. <br />26 <br />27 <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />28 <br />29 <br />Council Member Roesermoved to approve the Consent Agenda, as presented. Council Member <br />30 <br />Raffertyseconded the motion.
