COUNCIL MINUTES <br />APPROVED <br />i CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />2 MINUTES <br />3 <br />4 DATE November 12, 2019 <br />5 TIME STARTED 6:30 p.m. <br />6 TIME ENDED 7*15 p.m. <br />7 MEMBERS PRESENT Council Member Rafferty, Maher, <br />8 Stoesz and Mayor Reinert <br />9 MEMBERS ABSENT Council Member Maher <br />10 <br />11 Staff members present: City Administrator Jeff Karlson; Community Development Director <br />12 Michael Grochala; City Planner Katie Larsen; Finance Director Sarah Cotton; City Engineer Diane <br />13 Hankee; Director of Public Safety John Swenson; and City Clerk Julie Bartell <br />14 <br />15 PUBLIC COMMENT <br />16 <br />17 Chuck Wiegmann, 7109 Sunrise Dr, spoke about a stop order that he has received regarding repairs <br />18 to his well. He prefers well water; doesn't like the chemicals included in the City water. He <br />19 would like the opportunity to continue with his well project. <br />20 <br />21 Community Development Director Grochala explained that the City Code requires connection to <br />22 municipal utilities when well or septic systems fail. Mayor Reinert asked for the definition of <br />23 "failure". City Engineer Hankee said the city attorney has confirmed the requirement for well <br />24 replacement. <br />25 <br />26 Mayor Reinert said he will work with staff to get all the details on the matter and he (the mayor) <br />27 will personally follow up with Mr. Wiegmann. <br />28 <br />29 SETTING THE AGENDA <br />30 <br />31 The agenda was approved as presented. <br />32 <br />33 CONSENT AGENDA <br />34 <br />35 Council Member Manthey moved to approve the Consent Agenda, Items I tluough 1D, as <br />36 presented. Council Member Stoesz seconded the motion.
