COUNCIL MINUTES <br />APPROVED <br />80 4A) Consider Sale of Fire Pagers —.Public Safety Director Swenson recalled that the department <br />81 has necessarily upgraded its pager system. Some of the old pagers were sold and this action <br />82 proposes sale of the remainder (eight). The cost is somewhat lower than the previous sales due to <br />83 the lack of chargers included. <br />84 Council Member Manthey moved to approve the sale of equipment as recommended. Council <br />85 Member Stoesz seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br />86 B) Consider Acceptance of Monetary Donation to Lino Lakes Public Safety Canine Unit, <br />87 Public Safety Director Swenson explained that an individual has sent a check for $250 to the City <br />88 asking that the funds be earmarked for the Canine Unit. Staff is amenable to that request and is <br />89 recommending approval. <br />90 Council Member Manthey offered thanks for the donation. The funds will be well used. <br />91 Council Member Maher moved to accept the donation as recommended. Council Member Manthey <br />92 seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br />93 PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />94 There was no report from the Public Services Department. <br />95 <br />96 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />97 6A) Consider Second Reading of Ordinance No. 1149, Amending City Code Chapters 401 <br />98 and 402 Related to Connection to Municipal Water and Sewer Systems and Private Wells — <br />99 City Engineer Hankee reviewed the written report. <br />loo Mayor Reinert explained that a resident came to him wanting to replace his failed well, something <br />101 that was not allowed under the city code. Since changes can't be in place for just one resident, this <br />102 ordinance sets in place the changes across the board, including requirements for proceeding. <br />l 03 Council Member Manthey moved to waive full reading of the Ordinance as presented. Council <br />104 Member Stoesz seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br />105 Council Member Manthey moved to approve the 2°d Reading and Adoption of Ordinance No. 19-156 <br />106 as presented. Council Member Stoesz seconded the motion. Motion carried: Yeas, 5; Nays none. <br />107 6B) Consider Resolution No.19-181, Allowing Well Construction, 7109 Sunrise Drive, -City <br />los Engineer Hankee explained that the resolution allows for construction of a well under conditions laid out <br />109 in the resoluton. Ms. Hankee reviewed those conditions. <br />i 10 Council Member Stoesz asked if other residents could use this in the future, including signing up now and <br />111 not hooking up until a future date? Ms. Hankee said she believes so. <br />112 Council Member Stoesz moved to approve Resolution No. 19-181 as presented. Council Member <br />113 Maher seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br />114 6C) Consider Resolution 19483, Accepting Quotes, and Awarding a Construction Contract, <br />ll s Irrigation Controller Upgrades Project —City Engineer Hankee explained that the contract provides for <br />
