Design Fee Proposal 12-05-19.docx <br />An Engineer’s Opinion of Probable Cost will be completed on the final <br />construction plans and maps. <br /> <br /> <br />III. Prepare Permits, Specifications and Bidding Documents <br />WSB will assist the City in preparing permit application(s) and/or <br />approval requests and will assist the City with submitting the <br />applications/approval requests to the appropriate regulatory agencies. <br />Permit applications and/or agency review submittals are anticipated for: <br />(1) RCWD – erosion control, and (2) Anoka County – work in right of <br />way. <br /> <br />WSB will develop the final project plans/maps and specifications based on <br />the agency review comments. This task will include an internal QA/QC <br />review of the final plans, quantities, and specifications. <br /> <br />Upon completion of permitting, and agency review and approval, a final <br />set of construction documents will be prepared for electronic bidding. <br /> <br />WSB will print, assemble, and submit the final contract documents to the <br />City and request authorization to advertise the project for bidding. WSB <br />will receive and respond to bidder inquiries concerning the plans, <br />specifications, and intent of the project. Logs of all inquiries will be kept <br />and maintained to document inquiries. WSB will attend the project bid <br />opening with the City. <br /> <br />WSB will review the low bidder’s bid proposal, contractor’s and <br />subcontractor’s personnel proposed for the project and relative experience, <br />quality and availability of equipment, performance on similar projects, <br />references, nature and extent of other similar contracts, whether or not the <br />contractor or subcontractors have ever been denied contract award, and <br />any other information that would affect the ability of the contractor to <br />perform the work. <br /> <br /> <br />IV. Construction Services <br />WSB & Associates, Inc. will provide a separate proposal to the City for <br />survey, material testing and construction services once the final plans are <br />completed and limits are known. <br /> <br />The engineering fee to complete the 2020 Street Rehabilitation Project is $46,192.00 <br />(not to exceed). <br />
