Memo
F
To: Katie Larsen
From: Andy Nelson
Environmental
Date: March 4, 2020
Re: Recommendations for Watermark 3rd Addition Landscape Plan
1. Ensure that boulevard trees are included at a rate of one per frontage (two
trees for corner lots).
2. Ensure that clear vision areas are maintained at intersections within
development. The clear vision area is a triangular section connecting right of
way lines on a corner lot with a line 30' from the intersection. This can be
done by moving the stakes prior to planting.
3. Revise tree planting detail and planting notes to mention that there should be
no mulch touching the bark, and eliminate landscape fabric around trees.
The following comments may or may not be necessary action steps, depending on
the outcome of the meeting with Lino Lakes, Watermark developer, Carlson McCain,
and Prairie Restorations.
1. If fire is a component of the long-term management plan for the outlots,
replace current tree species with fire -tolerant trees.
2. Developer must submit a contract with a qualified contractor detailing action
steps and timeline for implementing installation, establishment, and
maintenance for each phase of development.
0 Page 1
