COUNCIL MINUTES <br />APPROVED <br />79 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />80 6A) Consider 2nd Reading of Ordinance No. 01-20, Zoning Ordinance Text Amendment to <br />81 Allow for Small Wireless Facilities — Community Development Director Grochala noted that staff <br />82 is requesting second reading and adoption of this ordinance that would update langauge in the <br />83 zoning code relating to small wireless facilities. The council has previously approved new <br />84 language for the city code on the subject of wireless facilities. <br />85 Council Member Stoesz noted that 5G is technology that is on the way and how soon it reaches the <br />86 City will depend on certain variables. <br />87 Council Member Lyden remarked that there are intended consequences in moving forward but there <br />88 can also be unintended consequences. He asks that staff keep an eye out for those unintended and <br />89 perhaps not desirable elements. <br />90 It was confirmed that location would generally be utility poles. <br />91 Council Member Stoesz moved to waive the full reading of the ordinance. Council Member Lyden <br />92 seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote <br />93 Council Member Stoesz moved to approve the 2nd Reading and adoption of Ordinance No. 01-20 as <br />94 presented. Council Member Ruhland seconded the motion. Motion carried: Yeas, 4; Nays none. <br />95 6B) Consider Approval of Resolution No. 20-12, Approving Change Order No. 2 and <br />96 Accepting4 the Extension of the Engineering Construction Services Contract, West Shadow <br />97 Lake Area Improvement Project — City Engineer Hankee explained that this project has been under <br />98 construction since October of 2018. She explained the change order being requested and the request <br />99 for extension of a contract, mainly due to weather. Ms. Hankee provided a brief update on the <br />100 project and its nearing completion. <br />101 Mayor Rafferty recommended that people view the improvements as they are quite remarkable. He <br />102 expressed thanks to the residents that presevered during construction; the result is good. <br />103 Council Member Lyden moved to approve Resolution No. 20-12 as presented. Council Member <br />104 Stoesz the motion.
