Planning & Zoning Board
April 8, 2020
Page 6
Mr. Grochala stated some residents may be contacted, however, Anoka County has fairly
flat and wide right-of-way along that entire section. There may also be a few
construction easements. Nevertheless, we will not know this until we progress into the
final design phase.
Mr. Evenson questioned how the area near The Tavern On Main would be addressed.
Mr. Grochala explained that section of the trail will be a concrete walkway approximately
10 feet from The Tavern On Main.
Ms. Peacock commented that having a separate path, rather than utilizing the shoulders
along Main Street, would be a good idea considering the traffic on said roadway.
Staff is requesting a motion from the board recommending support of the federal funding
application.
Mr. Root made a MOTION to recommend support of the federal funding application.
Motion was supported by Mr. Evenson. Motion carried 5-0.
VIL DISCUSSION ITEMS
A. Proiect Updates
Staff provided verbal updates to the Board on current City projects.
VIII.
