COUNCIL MINUTES <br />APPROVED <br />45 C) Consider Approval of May 11, 2020 <br />46 Council Meeting Minutes Approved <br />47 D) Consider approval of Advisory Board Appointments Approved <br />48 FINANCE DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />49 There were no reports from the Finance Department. <br />5o ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />51 3A) Consider Appointment of a Police Officer — Public Safety Director Swenson said he is <br />52 seeking council authorization to hire Mike Monson as a Police Officer. Mr. Monson has previously <br />53 worked for the department, left for family reasons, and is now interested in returning. It is timely <br />54 since there is an opening. <br />55 Councilmember Cavegn asked if this is a true opening and Director Swenson confirmed. <br />56 Councimember Cavegn moved to approve the appointment of Mike Monson as recommended. <br />57 Council Member Ruhland seconded the motion. Motion carried: Yeas, 5; Nays none <br />58 3B) Consider approval of Resolution 20-52, Special Event Permit for Chomonix Golf <br />59 Course — Chomonix has expressed an interest in having food trucks to serve their customers during <br />60 this time when they are unable to offer restaurant services themselves. Councilmember Stoesz <br />61 noted that the area Chamber of Commerce contacted the council about the possibility of having <br />62 local restaurant food trucks serve at the golf course. He is supportive of having food trucks and <br />63 wants to make sure that local businesses with food trucks are offered the opportunity to participate. <br />64 City Clerk Bartell suggested that staff has set up communication between Chomonix and the <br />65 Chamber to ensure that local businesses will have the opportunity to operate a food truck at the golf <br />66 course. <br />67 Dorothy Rademacher, Quad Area Chamber of Commerce, expressed thanks from the Chamber for <br />68 the council's willingness to hear their concerns and address them. <br />69 Councilmember Lyden moved to approve Resolution No. 20-52 as presented. Councilmember <br />70 Stoesz seconded the motion. Motion carried: Yeas, 5; Nays none. <br />71 PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />72 There were no reports from the Public Safety Department. <br />74 5A) Consider Approval of Resolution Noe 20-50, Approving Air Duet and Diffuser <br />75 Cleaning at Civic Complex Contract —Public Services Director DeGardner read his written report <br />76 including background on an indoor air quality test that occurred at the Public Safety Division <br />77 resulting in a recommendation to move forward on diffuser work and duct work cleaning. The <br />78 remainder of the civic complex may be done in the future. <br />79 Mayor Rafferty said he is supportive of this maintenance and in plans to phase the additional <br />80 cleaning in the future. <br />81 Councilmember Cavegn asked about funding and Mr. DeGardner reported the source would be the <br />82 General Fund Operating Contingency Fund. <br />83 Councilmember Lyden noted that he is supportive since it's been twenty years but might suggest <br />84 just the diffuser work otherwise. <br />2 <br />
