COUNCIL MINUTES APPROVED 1 2 LINO LAKES CITY COUNCIL 3 REGULAR MEETING 4 MINUTES 5 6 DATE : July 27, 2020 7 TIME STARTED : 6:30 p.m. 8 TIME ENDED : 7:40 p.m. 9 MEMBERS PRESENT : Councilmember Stoesz, Lyden, 10 Ruhland, Cavegn and Mayor Rafferty 11 MEMBERS ABSENT 12 13 Staff members present: City Administrator Sarah Cotton; Community Development Director 14 Michael Grochala; City Plainer Katie Larsen; Public Safety Director John Swenson; City Engineer 15 Diane Hankee 16 17 PUBLIC COMMENT 18 Kevin Murphy; 583 Lois Lane, requested assistance with traffic issues on Lois Lane, including 19 lowering the speed limit. Mayor Rafferty asked to be involved in continuing the discussion with 20 residents and staff (City Engineer and Public Safety Department) about how speed limits can be 21 amended and other possibilities to deal with issues of speeding and traffic. 22 SETTING THE AGENDA 23 The agenda was approved as presented. 24 SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS 25 Oath of Police Service — Police Officers — Mike Monson, Anissa Ng 26 Eagle Scout presentation for Aiden J. Sherer 27 CONSENT AGENDA 28 Councilmember Lydell moved to approve the Consent Agenda, Items 1 A through IF as presented. 29 Councilmember Cavegn seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. 30 Councilmember Cavegn noted Page 12 of the Expenditures Report and an item for Spanish 31 translation services. Administrator Cotton explained that the services are public safety related and 32 the City is required by law to provide them.
