She is requesting a metal roof with exposed fasteners be allowed. <br />City ordinance allows for metal roofs with standing seam (i.e. hidden fasteners). <br />ANALYSIS <br />In the summer of 2020, the property owner prepared to submit a building permit application to <br />replace the roof on the house. The application included a Menards specification sheet detailing <br />the roofing materials as Emerald Green Premium Pro -Rib Steel Panel with an exposed fastener <br />panel system. City ordinance does allow for metal roofs; however, they must be standing seam <br />(i.e. hidden fasteners). <br />Per Section 1007.043(2)(a): <br />
