Election Judge Approval <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />INTRODUCTION <br />On August 11, 2020 the State Primary Election will be held. Election judges are required in <br />order to staff the city's seven voting precincts. <br />BACKGROUND <br />The governing body of a municipality has the authority to appoint qualified applicants to <br />serve as election judges. On July l 3th, the City Council approved the appointment of election <br />judges who would serve for the Primary election. Staff is now forwarding the names of <br />additional judges that are needed. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends approval of Resolution No. 20-85, Appointing Additional Election Judges <br />for the 2020 Primary Election. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Resolution No. 20-85 <br />
