CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 5C <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director <br />MEETING DATE: September 14, 2020 <br />TOPIC: Consider Resolution No. 20-105, Approving Electrical <br />Installation Agreement, Rick DeGardner <br />VO 1 E REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />INTRODUCTION <br />Staff is requesting City Council consideration to approve the electrical installation agreement <br />related to the approval of Resolution No. 20-103 and Resolution No. 20-104, associated with <br />facility improvements related to the COVID-19 pandemic. <br />BACKGROUND <br />With this evening's approval of Resolution No. 20-103 and Resolution No. 20-104, the purpose <br />of this agenda item is to approve the electrical work associated with the previous two agenda <br />items <br />Two bids were received as follows: Civic Complex <br />Aid Electric $26,650.00 <br />Phasor Electric $28,900.00 <br />PublicWorks/Senior Center <br />$7,340.00* <br />$8,400.00 <br />*Staff is recommending reducing the scope of work at the Public Works/Senior Center. This <br />will reduce the not -to -exceed cost to $5,000_ <br />Staff has worked with Aid Electric on numerous projects and recommends moving forward <br />with approving an electrical services agreement with the approval of Resolution No. 20-105. <br />Staff has determined that this project meets the eligibility requirements (necessary expenditures <br />due to COVID-19, not accounted for in the most recently adopted budget, expenditures will be <br />incurred during the covered period of March 1 to November 15, 2020) for 100% CARES Act <br />funding reimbursement. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff is recommending approval of Resolution No. 20-105. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Resolution No. 20-105 <br />Project Quote <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />
