City of Lino Lakes - ZONING ORDINANCE <br />. is located over another unit, and each unit is separated from any other unit by <br />one or more common fire resistant walls. <br />Dwelling, Two -Family. A structure containing two dwelling units, each of which <br />is totally separated from the other by an unpierced wall extending from ground to <br />roof or an unpierced ceiling and floor extending from exterior_ wall to exterior wall, <br />except for a common stairwell exterior to both dwelling units. <br />Dwelling Unit. One or more rooms, designed, occupied or intended for <br />occupancy as separate living quarters, with cooking, sleeping and sanitary <br />facilities provided within the dwelling unit for the exclusive use of a single family <br />maintaining a household. <br />Easement. A grant of one or more of the property rights by the property owner <br />to and/or for the use by the public, a corporation or another person or entity. <br />Elderly (Senior Citizen) Housing. A public agency owned or controlled <br />multiple dwelling building with open occupancy limited to persons over fifty (50) <br />years of age. <br />Existing Use. The use of a lot or structure at the time of the enactment of a <br />• zoning ordinance. <br />Exterior Storage/Storage Yards. An outside area where equipment or material <br />relating to the principal use of a parcel of land is stored. The stored items are <br />not for sale or display but are used in the everyday operation of the principal use. <br />Extractive Use. The use of the land for surface or subsurface removal of sand, <br />gravel, rock, industrial minerals, other non-metallic minerals and peat not <br />regulated under Minnesota Statutes, Sections 93.44 to 93.51. <br />Family. An individual or two (2) or more persons related by blood or marriage or <br />of not more than five (5) persons (excluding servants) who need not be related <br />by blood or marriage living together in a dwelling unit. <br />Farm. Real property used for commercial agriculture or horticulture comprising <br />at least twenty (20) contiguous acres and which may contain other contiguous or <br />noncontiguous acreage, all of which is owned or leased and operated by a single <br />family, family corporation, individual or corporation. <br />Farm Building. See Agricultural Farm Building. <br />• Farm Dwelling. A single family dwelling located on a farm which is used or <br />intended for use by the farm's owner, a relative of the owner, or a person <br />employed thereon. <br />
