Hazardous waste does not include <br />source, special nuclear, or by-product material as defined by the Atomic <br />Energy Act of 1954, as amended. <br />Historic Site. Structure or area of land or water of historic, archaeological, <br />paleontological or architectural value which has been designated as an historic <br />site in the Federal Register of historical landmarks, the Minnesota Historical <br />Society, or by a local governmental unit. <br />Home Extended Business. A business conducted as part of a residential use <br />which is beyond the limits and scope of activities for home occupations as <br />defined by this subdivision. <br />Home Occupation. Any activity by a resident carried out for business purposes <br />and which activity is clearly incidental and secondary to the residential use of the <br />premises, and which activity does not change the residential character thereof. <br />Homeowners Association. A community association, other than a <br />condominium association, which is organized in a development in which <br />individual owners share common interests in open space or facilities. <br />• Horse Arena. A building or site used for showing and training horses, exclusive <br />of stables, boarding or other overnight or extended horse care facility. <br />Horse Breeding Operation, Commercial. A business for the purpose of <br />breeding and raising horses and may include scheduled events such as horse <br />shows, sales and exhibitions. <br />Horticulture. The use of land for the growing or production for income of fruits, <br />vegetables, flowers, nursery stock, including ornamental plants and trees, and <br />cultured sod. <br />Hotel. A facility offering transient lodging accommodations to the general public <br />and providing additional services such as restaurants, meeting rooms, and <br />recreation facilities (see Boarding House; Motel). <br />Houseboat. A watercraft vessel having a super structure resembling a house, <br />usually moored, designed and used as a dwelling. <br />Impervious Surface. An artificial or natural surface through which water, air or <br />roots cannot penetrate. <br />Individual Sewage Disposal System. A system for the disposal of sanitary <br />• sewage in the ground, which is so designed and constructed as to treat sewage <br />in a manner that will retain most of the settleable solids in a septic tank and <br />discharge the liquid portion to an adequate disposal field. <br />
