• <br />City of Lino Lakes - ZONING ORDINANCE <br />Street, Collector. A street which collects traffic from local streets and connects <br />with minor and major arterials. See City's Function Classification System for <br />Roadways contained in the Comprehensive Plan. <br />Street, Local. A street designed to provide vehicular access to abutting property <br />and to discourage through traffic. See City's Function Classification System for <br />Roadways contained in the Comprehensive Plan. <br />Street, Minor Arterial. A street with signals at important intersections and stop <br />signs on the side streets, and which collects and distributes traffic to and from <br />collector streets. See City's Function Classification System for Roadways <br />contained in the Comprehensive Plan. <br />Structure. Anything which is built, constructed or erected, an edifice or building <br />of any kind, or any piece of work artificially built up and/or composed of parts <br />joined together in some definite manner whether temporary or permanent in <br />character. <br />Structure Alteration. Any change in either the supporting members of a <br />building, such as bearing walls, columns, beams and girders, or in the <br />dimensions or configurations of the roof or exterior walls. <br />Structure/Principal. A structure in which is conducted the principal use of the <br />lot on which it is located. <br />Substantial Improvement. Any extension, repair, reconstruction, or other <br />improvement of a property, the cost of which equals or exceeds fifty (50) percent <br />of the fair market value of a property either before the improvement is started or <br />if the property has been damaged and is being restored, before the damage <br />occurred. <br />Swimming Pool. A water -filled enclosure, permanently constructed or portable, <br />having a depth of more than eighteen (18) inches below the level of the <br />surrounding land, or an above surface pool having a depth of more than thirty <br />(30) inches designed, used and maintained for swimming and bathing. <br />Tavern. An establishment used primarily for the serving of liquor by the drink to <br />the general public and where food or packaged liquors may be served or sold <br />only as accessory to the primary use. <br />Temporary Structure. A structure without any foundation or footings and which <br />• is removed when the designated time period, activity, or use for which the <br />temporary structure was erected has ceased. <br />1- 28 <br />
