City of Lino Lakes - ZONING ORDINANCE <br />• Terrace. A raised flat area with sloping sides or sides held by retaining walls, <br />unroofed and landscaped or surfaced. <br />Tool Shed. A small one-story accessory building used or intended for the <br />storage of hobby tools and garden equipment. <br />Topography. The configuration of a surface area showing relative elevations. <br />Townhouses. Structure housing three (3) or more dwelling units contiguous to <br />each other only by the sharing of one (1) common wall, such structures to be of <br />the town or row houses type as contrasted to multiple dwelling apartment <br />structures. No single structure shall contain in excess of twelve (12) dwelling <br />units and each dwelling unit shall have separate and individual front and rear <br />entrances. <br />Travel Trailer. A recreational vehicle that is towed by a car or a truck. <br />Trucking Terminal. An area and building where cargo is stored and where <br />trucks load and unload cargo on a regular basis. <br />Variance. A modification of the strict provisions of this Ordinance as applied to a <br />• specific piece of property in order to provide relief for a property owner because <br />of undue hardship imposed upon the property by this Ordinance. A variance <br />shall normally be limited to height, density and yard requirements. A <br />modification in the allowable uses within a district shall not be considered a <br />variance. <br />Wading Pool. An above -ground or in -ground structure containing less than <br />thirty (30") inches of water. <br />Warehouse. A building used primarily for the storage of goods and materials. <br />Warehousing. Terminal facilities for handling freight with or without <br />maintenance facilities. <br />Water body. A body of water (lake, pond) or a depression of land or expanded <br />part of a river, or an enclosed basin that holds water and surrounded by land. <br />Watershed. The area drained by the natural and artificial drainage system, <br />bounded peripherally by a bridge or stretch of high land dividing drainage areas. <br />Wetlands. An area where water stands near, or above the soil surface during a <br />significant portion of most years, saturating the soil and supporting a <br />41 predominantly aquatic form of vegetation, and which may have the following <br />characteristics: <br />i - -)O <br />
