• City of Lino Lakes - ZONING ORDMANCE <br />Subd. 4. General Building and Use Provisions <br />A. Dwelling Unit Restriction. No cellar, garage, tent, travel trailer, motor home, <br />basement with unfinished structure above, or accessory building shall at any <br />time be used as a dwelling unit. <br />B. Building Type and Construction. <br />1. All buildings erected on land within commercial, industrial and public and <br />semi-public zoning districts shall conform with the following: <br />a. Exterior wall surfaces may be a combination of materials including <br />brick, pre -cast concrete panel, decorative concrete panel, <br />architectural concrete block, cast -in -place concrete, stone or glass, <br />with metal panels encompassing no more than fifty (50) percent of <br />all elevations of the building combined. <br />b. On the building elevations facing the front of the lot or that portion <br />of the building abutting a right-of-way or residential zoned <br />properties, architectural metal panels shall not exceed twenty (20) <br />• percent of the wall surface. <br />2. Pole Barn Construction. <br />a. Rural and Residential Districts. Pole barns, as defined by Section <br />1, Subd. 2. of this Ordinance, within rural and residential zoning <br />districts shall comply with the applicable provisions of Section 3, <br />Subd. D of this Ordinance. <br />b. Commercial Industrial and Public/Semi-Public Zoning Districts. <br />Pole barn construction and sheet metal exteriors shall be permitted <br />in all commercial, industrial and public and semi-public zoning <br />districts as a conditional use under the following circumstances: <br />1) The new pole barns are accessory structures used for <br />storage of buses. <br />2) As an Expansion of a Pole Barn. The expansion shall not <br />be more than fifty (50) percent of the gross area of the pole <br />barn as of the passage of the Ordinance dated 24 August <br />1987. The City may attach conditions to the expansion to <br />• maintain and enhance the appearance and function of the <br />3-10 <br />
