CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 3G <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Sarah Cotton, City Administrator <br />MEETING DATE: December 14, 2020 <br />TOPIC: 2021 & 2022 Non -Union Compensation Plans <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />INTRODUCTION <br />The City Council is being asked to consider Resolution No. 20-167 and 20-168, Establishing <br />the 2021 and 2022 Compensation Plans for Non -Union Employees. <br />BACKGROUND <br />Both the 2021 and 2022 compensation plans include the impact of implementing the new <br />Keystone Compensation Classification System effective January 1, 2021 and a salary <br />adjustment of 2.25 percent in each year. The salary adjustments are consistent with the LELS <br />(Local 260), AFL-CIO (Local 49), and LELS (Local 299) union contracts that are also being <br />considered by the Council at the December 14th meeting. <br />Staff has a reached a tentative agreement with AFSCME (Local 2454) for 2021 and 2022. The <br />tentative agreement includes a salary adjustment of 2.25 percent in each year. <br />The 2021 budget contains the necessary funds for the 2.25 percent wage increase for all City <br />personnel. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve Resolution No. 20-167 and Resolution No. 20-168, Establishing the 2021 and 2022 <br />Compensation Plans for Non -Union Employees, effective January 1, 2021 and January 1, 2022, <br />respectively. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Resolution No. 20-167 <br />Resolution No. 20-168 <br />
