COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> APPROVED <br /> 1 LINO LAKES CITY COUNCIL <br /> 2 REGULAR MEETING <br /> 3 MINUTES <br /> 4 <br /> 5 DATE January 25 , 2021 <br /> 6 TIME STARTED 6 : 30 p.m. <br /> 7 TIME ENDED 7 * 00 p. m . <br /> 8 MEMBERS PRESENT Councilmember Stoesz, Lyden, <br /> 9 Ruhland, Cavegn and Mayor Rafferty <br /> to MEMBERS ABSENT <br /> 11 <br /> 12 Staff members present : City Administrator Sarah Cotton; Community Development Director <br /> 13 Michael Grochala; City Engineer Diane Hankee ; Human Resources Manager Meg Sawyer; Public <br /> 14 Safety Director John Swenson; City Clerk Julie Bartell <br /> 15 <br /> 16 PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> 17 Dean Hausladen, Lino Lakes resident, spoke to the matter of the City establishing a storm water <br /> 18 utility. He noted that the concept has come forward before and he wonders if the same proposal is <br /> 19 under consideration. Mayor Rafferty remarked that the council is looking at the possibility of a <br /> 20 utility again, understanding the reality of the many services that are required of the City in the area <br /> 21 of storm water management. Mr. Hausladen also noted that he lives by Sunrise Park and he ' s <br /> 22 concerned about the use of chemicals on the lawn there ; he experienced a situation where chemicals <br /> 23 were put down by the City and warning signs were posted but not soon enough to prevent him and <br /> 24 his dog from being impacted . <br /> 25 SETTING THE AGENDA <br /> 26 The agenda was approved as presented. <br /> 27 CONSENT AGENDA <br /> 28 Councilmember Ruhland moved to approve the Consent Agenda, Items IA through I as <br /> 29 presented. Councilmember Lyden seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote . <br /> 30 <br /> 31 ITEM ACTION <br /> 32 Consideration of Expenditures . <br /> 33 A) January 25 , 2021 (Check No . 113705 through 113784) <br /> 34 in the Amount of $ 679 , 119 . 19 Approved <br /> 35 B) Consider Approval of January 4 , 2021 Council <br /> 36 Work Session Minutes Approved <br /> 37 C) Consider Approval of January 11 , 2021 Council <br /> 38 Minutes Approved <br /> 39 D) Consider Approval of Advisory Board and EDAC Appts Approved <br /> 4o FINANCE DEPARTMENT REPORT <br /> 41 There was no report from the Finance Department. <br /> 1 <br />
