• CITY OF LINO LAKES <br /> RESOLUTION NO.21-17 <br /> APPROVING CONTRACT WITH NORTHLAND RECREATION INC. FOR <br /> LINO PARK AND CLEARWATER CREEK PARK PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT <br /> WHEREAS,the playground equipment at Lino Park was installed in 1998 and the Clearwater <br /> Creek Park installation was in 2002; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Park Board recommended both playgrounds be replaced as part of the 2021 <br /> Parks and Trails Fund Projects; and <br /> WHEREAS, staff is recommending entering into two separate contracts with Northland <br /> Recreation,Inc. via Sourcewell. The agreements fulfill the competitive solicitation and contract <br /> process required of governmental agencies. <br /> WHEREAS, the project costs include design work, playground equipment, and a certified <br /> playground installer. <br /> WHEREAS, recommended funding is from the Park and Trail Improvement Fund. <br /> • NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, <br /> hereby authorizes staff to enter into contracts with Northland Recreation Inc. for playground <br /> equipment as follows: <br /> Lino Park $85,000 <br /> Clearwater Creek Park $80,000 <br /> Adopted by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 8`h day of March,2021 <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Councilmember <br /> Lyden and was duly seconded by Councilmember Cavegn and upon vote being taken thereon, <br /> the following voted in favor thereof: Ruhland, Lyden,Cavegn, Stoesz, Rafferty <br /> The following voted against same: None <br /> P"` <br /> ♦ <br /> P-41-7- 1?) <br /> Ro afferty, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> 411 <br /> i ne Bartell, City Jerk <br />
