COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> APPROVED <br /> 41 E) Consider Approval of a Peddler License for <br /> 42 Custom Remodelers, Inc. Approved <br /> 43 FINANCE DEPARTMENT REPORT <br /> 44 There was no report from the Finance Department. <br /> 45 ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT REPORT <br /> 46 There was no report from the Administration Department. <br /> 47 PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT REPORT <br /> 48 4A) Consider Donation of Seized Property- -Public Safety Director Swenson 4eviewed his <br /> 49 written request to donate bicycles to the Bikes for Kids program. The department c(13,mes into <br /> 50 possession of the bicycles and, after due process, must move them from storage. H,recommends <br /> 51 that they be donated to this program that supports the community. <br /> 52 Councilmember Cavegn moved to authorize the donation of property as recommended. <br /> 53 Councilmember Lyden seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br /> 54 4B) Consider Acceptance of Donated Gift Cards- -Public Safety Director Sw-nson explained <br /> 55 that he is requesting authority to accept donated gift cards. There have been many ards donated <br /> 56 mostly by residents. Staff proposes to utilize the funds for certain departmental acti ities. The <br /> 57 total value is $1,355. <br /> 58 Councilmember Lyden asked that the public be informed that their generousity is appreciated. The <br /> 59 work of the department is appreciated by the council as well. <br /> 60 Councilmember Cavegn moved to authorize the donation of property as recommended. <br /> 61 Councilmember Ruhland seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br /> 62 PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT REPORT <br /> 63 There was no report from the Public Services Department. <br /> 64 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT REPORT <br /> 65 6A) Consider Approval of Resolution No. 21-33, Order Project,Approve the Plans and <br /> 66 Specifications and Authorize the Ad for Bid,2021 Street Maintenance Project-City Engineer <br /> 67 Hankee reviewed her written report outlining previous council review and consideration of the <br /> 68 project. She noted that the staff report includes a map of the areas included in the project. She <br /> 69 noted how the project is funded. Staff is requesting authorization to go out for bids. <br /> 70 Mayor Rafferty noted the area included for rejuvenation where streets were just put in in 2015. Ms. <br /> 71 Hankee explained the process that would occur and why that is appropriate to preserve the life of <br /> 72 those streets. <br /> 73 Councilmember Stoesz noted that some streets are adjacent to other jurisdictions; is it appropriate to <br /> 74 request a contribution? Ms. Hankee noted information in the staff report indicating where a <br /> 75 contribution will be received. <br /> 76 Councilmember Cavegn moved to approve Resolution No. 21-33 as presented. Councilmember <br /> 77 Ruhland seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br /> 2 <br />
