Park Board <br /> October 3 ,1983 <br /> - page three - <br /> Pines Board to meet with this Board or someone from this Board meet with their <br /> Park Board to discuss this matter. <br /> Mr. R. Johnson felt the final plat should bot be delayed - he had no objectionE <br /> to the plat with the exception of the areas being designated as 'park <br /> property ' should be changed to outlots . <br /> Mr. R. Johnson moved to recommend Park 1 & 2 not be designated as park land <br /> and reconfirm this Board 's position of accepting money in leiu of alnd, and to <br /> include an easement for access to Baldwin Park. Seconded by Mr. ARtnzen . <br /> Mr. Arntzen suggested the money received from this plat be used to construct <br /> the trail to Baldwin Park. Motion carried unanimously . <br /> Mr. K. Johnson said he would meet with the Circle Pines Park Board and re- <br /> quested staff to check into this for a date and let him know. <br /> LAMOTTE PARK SUBDIVION <br /> Mr. K. Johnson reminded the Board that this City has Park land in this area . <br /> Mr. Volk explained the area planned for development is in the rear of the <br /> existing park land and this park land has been included in this plat . <br /> Mrs . Drewlo, owner of the land. pointed out the area in the plat they would <br /> like to trade for the existing park property . She also pointed out the <br /> location of the County Park and the Centerville Park in conjunction with this <br /> palt . <br /> There was a question on the topography of the land propsoed to be traded to <br /> the City - no one had an answer. Mr. Lindy felt that without this knowledge, <br /> it would be hard to consider a trade. <br /> Mr. Volk pointed out the City has paid the assessments on the existing park <br /> land and this would need to be taken into consideration . <br /> Mr. R. Johnson suggested selling the existing park and then asking for land <br /> dedication from the new plat . He also felt an appraisal of the existing park <br /> land would be necessary . <br /> There was some question on this parcel of land being a part of LaMottes 's <br /> 2nd and 3rd Additions as far as park land was concerned. Mr. Volk reported <br /> the minutes have been researched and the existing park was land dedicated for <br /> LaMotte 's second and third additions . The parcel in question is not a part <br /> of either one of those plats . This would be a new addition and would require <br /> park dedication. <br /> There was generally discusison on the procedure for the selling of this land <br /> and the need for an appraisal . The Board felt that this park could be sold, <br /> the money put in the dedicated funds and money accepted in leiu of land in <br /> the new plat . <br /> �fr. R. Johnson moved to recommend an appraisal be done on the LaMotte Park <br /> land for the purpose of considering selling the land. Seconded by Mr. Arntzen . <br /> Motion carried unanimously . <br /> Mr. Volk presented the proposed park budget for 1984 noting this has been <br />
