Special Park Board Meeting <br /> July 21 , 1983 <br /> The special meeting of the Lino Lakes Park Board was called to order <br /> on July 21 , 1983 by Chairman Johnson with the following members <br /> present; R. .Johnson, Flannery,LaBlond, Scherer, Arntzen; Absent; <br /> Lindy. <br /> MINUTES <br /> Mr. Scherer moved to approve the minutes of June 6 , 1983 as presented. <br /> Seconded by Mrs . LaBlond. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> CIRCLE LEX JC ' s <br /> There was no representative present to discuss their request. This <br /> item was tabled. <br /> LaMotte Outlot <br /> Mrs . Vogt asked the Park Board to consider allowing the residents <br /> who live on the off side of the lake to purchase this outlot for the <br /> purpose of allowing them to have access to the lake. <br /> Mr. Johnson asked if the existing drainage would be interferrred with? <br /> Mr. Schumacher said he did not know what was planned for the area. <br /> Mrs . Vogt said they wanted the area for access to the lake for boats , <br /> n swimming, possible put a picnic table, they do not want this to be <br /> for the public therfore would install a gate at the entrance to the <br /> property. <br /> Mr. Johnson asked ifthis was a public access at the presnt time and <br /> was told, No. <br /> There was a question of the regulations of the water department and <br /> Mrs . Vogt said the first step was to come to the Park Board - they <br /> have not contacted the water department as yet. <br /> Mr. Schumacher reported that the City has contacted the water depart- <br /> ment and had been told for getting a permit for such as the residents <br /> are suggesting, there would be more to it than if just one property <br /> owner presented the requested. <br /> One of the residents reported that he had talked with members of the <br /> water department on several times and had been told the necessity of <br /> providing proper insurance. <br /> Mrs . Vogt asked if the Park Board would have any objections to selling <br /> this property to the residents? She felt this matter should be cleared <br /> before going to the St. Paul Water Department . <br /> Mrs . LaBlond asked why this matter was referred to the Park Board? <br /> Mr. Schumacher felt that this is a part of the open space within the <br /> City and under their control. <br /> The general consensus of the Park Board was that this Board has no <br /> jurisdictation over this Outlot. Mr. Scherer thought this was park <br /> land dedicated at the time of the plat. It was pointed out there <br />
