Park Board
June 6 , 1983
Page Four
\ OAK LANE ACCESS TO LINO PARK
Mr. Schumacher said the City has a verbal agreement with Anoka County
to allow the City to use this area for access . This would be just a
path - left as a grassy area .
CODE AMENDMENTS
Mr. Schumacher explained this had to do with changing the City Code to
mandate that all investment interest from Park Funds be put back into
the Park Fund. This had been presented to the Council..' The policy of
the City is that investment .interest has always been put back into that
fund, but the Council would prefer the leave .the policy as is in order
to give the Council the flexiability on the use of these funds .
Mrs . LaBlond reported that she had received a call from a lady across
the street from Lino Park and asked what the City 's policy is on the
use of the parking lot - she also said a gentleman is also parking a
semi in that parking lot .
Mr. R. Johnson felt this had been presented to the Police and to the
Council and nothing has been done about this problem.
Mr . K. Johnson suggested requesting the Council to direct the Police
to enforce the parking in this lot.
Mrs . LaBlond moved to request that the City Council take the necessary
action to enforce the 'no parking' in the Lino Park parking lot by
semis . Seconded by Mr. R. Johnson . Motion carried unaimously .
NEW BUSINESS
Mr. Schumacher reported that the City crews are cutting the grass in the
Centerville City Park on an experimental basis .
Mr. Arntzen suggested that Shenandoah Park be mowed .
