Park Board <br /> June 1 , 1981 <br /> Page Three <br /> '—'- Mrs . Sullivan presented her design for the development of the Park and the <br /> areas to be used for the different activities . <br /> The Park Board had questions and suggestions which were discussed with Mrs . <br /> Sullivan. It was felt the next step to contact Mr . Rehbein and asked if <br /> in his development of the ponding area, he would conform to the plan for <br /> the park as presented by Mrs . Sullivan . <br /> Mrs . Sullivan asked what the Board would like her to do next as to the <br /> planning of this park? Mr . Schumacher felt that Mr . Rehbein should be <br /> contacted on the question of the holding pond - could Mrs . Sullivan ' s <br /> suggestions be incorporated into the construction of this holding pond? <br /> Mr . Arntzen asked Mr . Schumacher to check on the requirements of a culvert <br /> under Arrowhead where it meets the Park . <br /> This plan is to be studied by the members and th`Smatter is to be on the <br /> July agenda . If there are suggestions for changes , they should be ready <br /> for that meeting . <br /> Mr . Volk asked Mrs . Sullivan if he can get extra copies of the plan and <br /> she said, Yes . <br /> EQUIPMENT FOR TOT LOT <br /> Mr . Volk said this had been discussed with the Park Board members at a <br /> previous meeting and he has ordered one piece of equipment and will be , <br /> ordering the second piece . Mr . Volk presented pictures of the piece he <br /> has ordered and felt this would be delivered within the next month . The <br /> second piece will be ordered from a different company and he is requesting <br /> approval from the Park Board for this purchase . One piece of equipment will <br /> be installed at City Hall Park and the second piece at Sunrise Park . <br /> Mrs . LeBlonde asked, since this has already been approved, is a motion <br /> necessary? Mr . Schumacher felt it would be best just for the records . <br /> Mr . Johnson moved to approve the purchase from Earl Anderson $ Associates <br /> the landscape structure and 3 seater swing set for City Hall Park and the <br /> purchase from Miracle Equipment Company a total playground center and 3 <br /> slides for Sunrise Park . Seconded by Mr . Arntzen . Motion carried unanimously <br /> The total dollar figure is $33 , 417 . 00 . <br /> Mrs . LeBlonde , from the April meeting, referred to the request of Mr . DeMars <br /> for protective fences at the Little League fields . Mr . Volk said that snow <br /> fences were erected but since that the time , the Circle-Lex Lions have <br /> donated enough fence for this purpose . This fencing has not been erected <br /> as yet , but it will be done as soon as time allows . This is just for the <br /> two Little League fields . <br /> Mr . Volk reported that a resident of the City who has a nursey, had donated <br /> .,-,. about 200 trees to the City . These trees have been planted in the various <br /> parks . Mr . Volk had written a letter of thanks to this resident . <br /> Mrs . LeBlonde suggested that a letter also be sent from the Park Board . <br /> Meeting was adjounaed at 9 : 35 P .M . <br />
