Park Board <br /> January 5, 1981 <br /> Page Three <br /> Mr. Volk gave a copy of Mr. Kline 's proposal to members and asked"they <br /> take this for consideration at the next Park Board meeting. Mr. Kline <br /> was thanked for his time and information . <br /> Mr. Volk presented bids he had received - the lumber for the hockey <br /> rink had been purchased at a cost of $4200 . 00 . Bids on the carriage <br /> bolts ; Midwest Bolt supply - $367 , 47; Minnesota Fastener - 324 . 70 <br /> Mr. Foster moved to accept the bid of Minnesota Fastener . Seconded by <br /> Mr. Johnson . Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Volk reported that to change the lighting at Sunrise Park for the <br /> existing lighting to a sodium fixture he had two bids; Rivard Electric - <br /> $3872 . 00 and Gopher Electric - 4446 . 00 . Mr . Volk recommended accepting <br /> the Rivard Electric bid. Mr. Scherer moved to approve Mr . Volk' s <br /> recommendation . Seconded by MR . Foster. Motion carried! <br /> Fencing for the outfield at Lino Park was also considered. Mr. Volk <br /> reminded the Board members that this is the only Babe Ruth field in the <br /> City . 850 feet of 48" high fencing is needed -- Century 3985 . 00; <br /> Hanson - 4000 . 00; Metropolitan 4275 . 00 . Mr. Scherer moved to accept <br /> the bid form Century Fence . Seconded by Mr. Foster. Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Volk recommended the purchase of 200 feet of 4 foot fence for back <br /> stops at the hockey rink. He felt this could be purchased from Century <br /> Fence for approximately $248 . 00 . This would not be installed . Mrs . <br /> �1 LeBlond moved to approve this purcahse. Seconded by Mr . Scherer. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Volk said he has not received bids on the parking lots and the <br /> berm installation at Sunrise Park as get . <br /> Mr. Johnson moved to request the Council to release for Park Development <br /> the $15 ,000 . 00 of dedicated funds for the Hockey Rink .at Lino Park7-04drD <br /> for tot lot and playgro A equipment development in the City Parks . <br /> Seconded by Mr . Foster. Motion carried. <br /> Metting was adjourned. <br />
