Sullivan said she would try and have at least this much planned for <br /> the Country Lakes Park by the next Park -Board meeting. <br /> Mr. Foster arrived. <br /> Mr. Volk said he was waiting for the completion of the plan before <br /> getting cost estimates for the parking lot at Sunrise . He asked::the <br /> lark Board what they wanted for the tot lot here at the City Hall Park. ' <br /> Mr. Volk asked for at least two persons from the Park Board to work with <br /> him on planning this tot lot. The general consensus of the Board was <br /> that they would prefer to stay with the wood such as in the tot lot in <br /> Sunset Oaks . <br /> Mr. Volk asked if the two Park Board members delegated to assist him, <br /> could have the authority to make a decision on what is to be installed <br /> at this tot lot wis�out having to clear with the Board? The Park Board <br /> felt :there was no problem with this and delegated Mr.Johnson and Mr. <br /> Foster to work with Mr. Volk on what is to be installed at City Hall <br /> Park tot lot . <br /> The matter of having a trailer at the City Hall Park to be used as a <br /> warming house was disussed. Mr. Volk said the rental is $465 . 00 per <br /> month . Excavating will cost about $1100 . 00 . Lights and poles - $1450. 0( <br /> The approximate cost for this improvement would be around 3100. 00 . <br /> �1 <br /> Mr. Schumacher questioned the proposed location ,of the skating rink - it <br /> is in a very isolated area . Mr. Volk said the Police 491" also concerned <br /> about the location. The Park Board will have a warming house attendant <br /> when the building is open . This area can only be seen from the very <br /> North end of the parking lot . It was suggested that perhaps the East <br /> side should be excavated in order to provide more exposure for checking <br /> the area . <br /> Mr. Volk presented his suggestion of building a tanker truck to haul <br /> water to flood this rink. He has spread the cost of this piece of <br /> equipment between the Park Department, Road Department and Utility <br /> Department - - Parks - 50%; Roads & Utility - 25% each. He will be using <br /> the old 2000 gallon gas tank - putting this on skids 1putting a hose on <br /> this and a dump valve for emptying. <br /> There was some discussion on how the expenditures were approved by <br /> Council . Council minutes were checked mound that this was authorized <br /> from the dedicated funds . <br /> There was discussion on an attendant for the warming house . Mr. Volk <br /> will make some plans for this person when the hours are set . The time <br /> schedule will be updated at a later meeting. <br /> Mr. Johnson moved to authorize Mr. Volk to construct the pleasure rink <br /> at City Hall park at a cost of approximately $1100 . 00 , $1500 . 00 lighting, <br /> and a rental trailer, $465. 00 . Seconded by Mr. Shaughnessy . Motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> Mr. Volk requested authorization to spend approximately $750 . 00 from <br /> the Park funds for expenditure on the tank for flooding the rinks . <br />
