Park Board <br /> January 7 , 1980 <br /> Page Three <br /> There was discussion on the fact that this area is mostly under water. <br /> There was discussion on Shenandoah III. The Park Board felt that had <br /> never looked at this plat . Mrs . Liljedahl requested that Mr. Glenn <br /> Rehbein he present at the next meeting. <br /> The next item on the agenda was an attendant at the Sunrise warming house . <br /> Mrs . Elesepeter had been informed this facility is to be used by the <br /> hockey players only . <br /> Mr. Scherer said that neighboring communties require a nominal charge for <br /> the use of the facilities . Mr. Schumacher said there is some work done <br /> by the hockey association but just on the hockey rinks . <br /> Mrs . Liljedahl said rules should be posted, hours should be noted and <br /> there should be an attendant . <br /> Mrs . Elsenpeter had checked with Blaine as to who they use . Using the <br /> maximum number of hours for the rest of the year the cost should be about <br /> $1000 . 00 . There was discussion of using Senior Citizens in this capacity . <br /> There was also a suggestion that CETA funds be investigated . <br /> Mr. Johnson moved to recommend to the Council that an attendant be hired <br /> or the warming house at Sunrise Park . Hours to be from to be from 3 :00 <br /> to 8 :00 P .M. weekdays , 10 : 00 A .M. to 6 : P .M. on Saturdays and 12 :00 Noon <br /> to 6:00 P .M. on Sundays with the money to come from general operating <br /> expenses . Seconded by Mr. Shaughnessy , Motion declared passed. <br /> The capital improvment program discussion was delayed until Mr . Volk could <br /> be present . <br /> Mr . Schumacher reported that %9 ,546 . 06 invested at 5%% and some at 7 . 5% <br /> He asked for guidance as to howhe should reivest this money . Mr . Shaughnessy <br /> moved to authorize Mr. Schumacher to invest up to 50 ,000 , 00 in 6 months <br /> certificate or less at the highest rate of interest possible . Seconded <br /> Mr. Johnson . Motion declared passed. <br /> Under old business , Mr. Scherer brought up the payment of expenses for the <br /> Board members . This will be presented at the next Council meeting. <br /> Mr . Scherer moved to adjourn . Seconded by Mr . Johnson . Aye . <br />
