-2- March S , 1979 Mrs . Liljedahl moved to recommend that the Commission accept the proposal and present it to the Council that the Lions Club can use Sunrise Park on September 8 and 9 , 1979 , for the purpose of a general fund raiser . Mr. Shaughnessy seconded the motion. Motion declared passed. Mr. Shaughnessy felt the need for three more parks in the future of three or four years , with one possibility being the Minnesota Training Center ' s sewage plant as they are connecting to city sewer and water. Suggested that the Commission inquire as to an option on the land. And the Commission should also be thinking about adding tennis facilities in the area. Mr. Johnson stated that the Commission would want to avoid specula- tion in the development of parks . Future planning would include a 20-40 acre site for use as a full-facility park area. Plat - The East Birch Addition The East Birch Addition was reviewed. Mr Johnson moved to recommend that Lots 9 and 10 in Block 3 be taken. Mr. Scherer seconded the motion. Motion declared passed. Plat - W & G Rehbein Bros . W & G Rehbein Bros . plat was reviewed. Mr. Foster moved to recommend that monies in lieu of land be accepted. Mr. Scherer seconded the motion. Motion declared passed. Plat - John Blomquist The John Blomquist plat was reviewed. Mr. Shaughnessy moved to recommend that the proposed land dedication for park purposes be accepted. Mr. Johnson seconded the motion. Motion declared passed. Mr. Foster suggested that the warming house be added to and that bathroom facilities be added to eliminate Satellites . At the next meeting everyone is asked to bring ideas and other comments on the building. Clerk Anderson reread the Council minutes of December, 1978 , showing that the Council motioned and passed that a four-season building be started and completed in 1979 . Mr. Shaughnessy motioned to adjourn at 9 :30 P .M. Mr. Foster seconded the motion. Aye.
