Country Lakes encompasses about 184 acres and
the park dedication should be about 18.4 acres or its equivalent. Another meeting is plann-
ed for early July.
Mr. Gourley said the main issue of the meeting was what portion of the platted area should
go to parks. Drovers State Bank is handling the arrangements and they would prefer to do-
nate land not money. Mr. Kronholm, President of the bank would prefer land on the west side
of the lake near the creek of about 5 acres for park purposes. Mr. Gredvig told him he would
relate his feelings to the Park Board.
Mr. Schneider noted the area proposed by Mr. Kronholm lends itself to boat launching and
public swimming. He also noted the Anoka County Park system plans on building a public
beach on Centerville Lake. These two proposed beaches would be quite near each other.
Mr. Ringaman questioned, Isn!-t the idea of a park for the local residents use? Would they
prefer a place for small children to play?
Mr. Gredvig suggested that maybe the people in the area should be surveyed to determine
what they prefer.
Mr. Schneider asked Mr. Gredvig is anyone at this meeting suggested using the outlot east
of Eash Shadow Lake Drive. They had not discussed it.
