Mr. Simonson is checking with the St. Paul Water Department for access to the <br /> lake. <br /> Sunrise Park - Mr. Ringaman <br /> Mr. Ringaman stated that there is just last minute winter preparation to be done such <br /> as taking in the picnic tables, trash barrels and removing some snow fence. Mr. Resch <br /> stated this winter preparation should be done in all parks. Mrs. Anderson will con- <br /> tact tact Mr. Volk to have this work done. <br /> City Hall Park - Mr. Resch <br /> Mr. Resch stated the two students at the University of Minnesota have been out to City <br /> Hall Park and have met with him and Mr. Gotwald, City Engineer and are in the process <br /> of drawing up sketches of their platting of City Hall Park. They will have thesesket- <br /> ches ready for the November 15, 1976 Commission meeting. <br /> Mr. Schneider explained that when the 1977 budget was being prepared the City Hall <br /> parking lot was omitted. However, he further explained that there will be income real- <br /> ized from two of the plat developers located in the City. The income from these plats <br /> will be enough to put in a parking lot. <br /> Mrs. Anderson is to check to see what the procedure is for establishing parks in new <br /> platted areas and let the Commission members know about this procedure. <br /> n Mrs. Liljedahl and Mr. Volk determined some quidelines for using and maintaining the <br /> hockey rinks. The Council has approvedthe guidelines. Mr. Ringaman moved that these <br /> guidelines be presented to the Centennial Hockey Assn. and the Lino Lakes Recreation <br /> Assn. for their approval . Motion seconded by Mr. Gredvig. Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Resch will present the guidlines to the Lino Lakes Recreational Assn. and Mr. Ring- <br /> aman will present them to the Centennial Hockey Assn. Mrs. Anderson is to contact both <br /> Associations and ask them to meet with the Commission on November 15, 1976 to discuss <br /> the guidelines. <br /> Mr. Olson informed the Commission on what he is doing to get the area lakes put into <br /> better condition. He is in the process of forming an association of pilots who use the <br /> local lakes. This association [3.then going to the State Aeronautical Board and the <br /> Department of Natural Resources and press to get the Army Corps of Engineers out to do <br /> some dredging and cleaning. Mr. Schneider asked Mr. Olson to attend the October 25, <br /> 1976 Council meeting and inform them of the problems. <br /> Mr. Schneider stated he had been approached by some local residents expressing concern <br /> about hunters. He had suggested that a petition to designate a particular area off <br /> limits to hunting could be brought before the Council . <br /> A letter from the Lino Lake Area Recreation Assn. had been received requesting approval <br /> for installing scoreboards at each of the ballfield. Mr. Gredvig moved to recommend <br /> to the Council that these scoreboards be erected at each ballfield. Motion seconded <br /> by Mrs. Liljedahl . Motion carried. <br /> n <br /> Mr. Schneider said that the Council has asked for some Park Commission recommendations <br /> or specification on the Sunset Oaks Plat. He will bring this up at the November 15,' <br /> 1976 Commission meeting. <br /> The Commission members examined the area in the shop that was proposed for a temporary <br />
