He suggested that the Park Commission do something about this situation. <br /> Mr. Ringaman said he is going to recommend fencing be included in the Park Commissions <br /> budget for 1977 to correct this situation. <br /> Mr. Ringaman asked if the Environmental Commission would be informed of the progress <br /> of the proposed dog pound on Sunset. He asked the Clerk to call Mr. McLean and ask <br /> if the Environmental Commission would have any input on the environmental standpoint <br /> and then let Mr. Schneider know what he says. <br /> Mr. Schneider suggested that the Park Commission assign someone to attend all Hockey <br /> Assn. meetings. Mr. Volk should also go with the representative. The purpose of this <br /> would be to determine what help could be expected from the Assn. during the hockey sea- <br /> son. Discussion followed. Mr. Resch suggested the Commission draw up guidelines and <br /> send them to the Council for approval . Mrs. Liljedahl will get together with Mr. <br /> Volk and draw up guidelines before September 13, 1976. <br /> A special meeting with the Athletic Assn. was set for 8:30 P.M. September 20, 1976 <br /> to present the Park Commissions guidelines to the Association. <br /> Mrs. Anderson contacted the Army Corps of Engineers to determine if there is any service <br /> available from the Corps for Park facilities. She was told the Corps only improves <br /> land owned by the Federal Government. <br /> Mr. Olson asked the Commission what could be done about the conditions of the lakes. <br /> He had contacted the Department of Natural Resources and they did come out and look <br /> at the dead fish. Nothing has been done to clean them up. Mr. Ringaman suggested <br /> contacting Mr. McLean since he is a representative to the Open Space program. Mr. <br /> Schneider said he would try and find out some background on this matter. <br /> Budget <br /> Sunrise Park - Mr. Ringaman <br /> requests: satellites - 2 units for 4 summer months <br /> chain link fince - 75' <br /> limerock - all ballfields <br /> Lino Park - Mrs. Liljedahl <br /> reques^:.-s: satellite - I <br /> The Lino Lakes Recreation Assn. is going to donate some park equipment <br /> to the City. The proposal was tabled until next spring. Jim Hill 's <br /> son is to do some landscaping for a Scout badge. <br /> La Motte - Mr. Gredvig <br /> requests: excavating <br /> backstop - Mrs. Anderson will ask Mr. Volk for estimates on these items. <br /> City Hall Park - Mr. Resch <br /> requests: parking lot - 100' x 300' - need size, location and cost breakdown <br /> satellite - I - maybe Athletic Assn. help pay the bill <br /> pleasure ice rink <br /> warming house <br /> Mr. Ringaman suggested Mr. Volk could draw up plans for a warming house in the shop <br />
