(2) October 21 , 1974 The Clerk was asked to check with Transport Pool Inc. , 1524 Arthur Street N.E. , phone number 789-7265 for the availability and cost of a trailer for the time needed. The question of supervision of the ice rink was brought up. it was suggested that the police department could provide some supervision of the rink, since they will be around part of the time. Nr. McLean cautioned the commission not to expect constant supervision from "he police and their duties often took them away from the office. Mr. McGeary wondered if the Athletic Association would be providing supervision of the rink acain. The need for supervision was pointed out by reminding the commission C1 the damage that was done to the trailer last year, i.e. broken windon, tzar in the skin on the trailer, etc. it was noted that a piece of plywood 1131_ placed over the tile flooring to prevent if frombeing scratched by � Kl%Las and was suggested that the same he done this year. ter: . The said that the plans hiad were given to a representative from the DPJR and that he had not re- tt,rr,ed them as yet. Mrs. LeTrourneau said she would contact him and get the e'z,it returned by the next meeting. Mr. McLean said that the commission should concentrate on the tong range plans sf the next few r.�eetins and come up with some firm plans to present to the C�--jnci l early next year. Mrs. 3risson questioned bike trails, tennis courts and recreational skating �• � . are any of these possible and was told that there is no reason why shrju!d no be included in the long range plans.
