(2) October 21 , 1974 <br /> The Clerk was asked to check with Transport Pool Inc. , 1524 Arthur Street N.E. , <br /> phone number 789-7265 for the availability and cost of a trailer for the time <br /> needed. <br /> The question of supervision of the ice rink was brought up. it was suggested <br /> that the police department could provide some supervision of the rink, since <br /> they will be around part of the time. <br /> Nr. McLean cautioned the commission not to expect constant supervision from <br /> "he police and their duties often took them away from the office. Mr. McGeary <br /> wondered if the Athletic Association would be providing supervision of the rink <br /> acain. The need for supervision was pointed out by reminding the commission <br /> C1 the damage that was done to the trailer last year, i.e. broken windon, <br /> tzar in the skin on the trailer, etc. it was noted that a piece of plywood <br /> 1131_ placed over the tile flooring to prevent if frombeing scratched by <br /> � Kl%Las and was suggested that the same he done this year. <br /> ter: . Brlsson wanted to know if there would be benches at thehal l this year. Mr. <br /> -n4an said that more benches were needed and he would check into waht is <br /> to be done and report on this for the next meeting. <br /> r !�,re was a discussion on the long range plans for the parks and recreation <br /> . , i + hies in Lino Lakes and Mrs. Brlsson and Mrs. LeTourneau said that they <br /> �` ra; i �,• did not have any complete plans at this time. The said that the plans <br /> hiad were given to a representative from the DPJR and that he had not re- <br /> tt,rr,ed them as yet. Mrs. LeTrourneau said she would contact him and get the <br /> e'z,it returned by the next meeting. <br /> Mr. McLean said that the commission should concentrate on the tong range plans <br /> sf the next few r.�eetins and come up with some firm plans to present to the <br /> C�--jnci l early next year. <br /> Mrs. 3risson questioned bike trails, tennis courts and recreational skating <br /> �• � . are any of these possible and was told that there is no reason why <br /> shrju!d no be included in the long range plans. Mfrs. Brisson also <br /> �ske-i sports and activities for the girls in the City and said that <br /> cc ''< r avur/thing that had been done was done for the boys.
