May 20, 1974 <br /> The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes Park Board was called to order at <br /> 5:00 P.ii. on May 20, 1974. Members present; Kent, Clausen, Resch,Kendall. <br /> Absent; MidGeary, LeTourneau, Brisson.- sir. McLean was also present. <br /> The minutes of April 21, 1974 were approved as presented. <br /> Mr. 11cLean reported on the following; items; <br /> The bleachers and backstops have been cleaned and are up on blocks <br /> ready to be painted. Mr. Backlin has acquired the paint for this. <br /> Mr. McLean has cleared the misunderstanding as to the Posts on the <br /> North boder of Lino Park. The Posts are to be installed according to the <br /> original specs. As soon as the fence is installed, the Lions Club will <br /> proceed with the seeding and sodding of the Park as planned. There is <br /> about $1200.00 available for this work. <br /> Mr. Resch and Mr. Kent presented a rough draft for development of the Hall <br /> property. They had also observed stumps being dumped in this area and <br /> asked that no more debris of any kind be dumped in this area. They <br /> will get together on the draft and work out the details to be presented <br /> at the next meeting. Mr. McLean felt that before this is finalized, the <br /> Board will require the services of Mr. Starr. <br /> n <br /> A Mr. Ed Conlin appeared at the Park Board meeting in regards to the <br /> Circle Squares Square Dance Convention camp out at Sunrise Park. Since <br /> permission for this camp out had been given over a year ago, and a new <br /> Ordinance has been passed, 'rir. Conlin felt that he should clear up some <br /> points. It will be necessary to obtain a variance to the Ordinance since <br /> campins is prohibited. The camp out is planned for June 14,15 & 16. <br /> The Park Board passed on the foll_c._rfb recommendations to the Council; <br /> 1. No parking on any playing area of any of the ball diamonds, this <br /> includes the outfields. <br /> 2. Some sort of a bond to be posted to insure clean-up and to repair <br /> any damage done to the grounds. <br /> 3. Three Park Board members will meet with Mr. Conlin on Sunday <br /> evening at 6:00 P.M. and inspect the grounds with him. Mr. McLean, <br /> Mrs. Kendall and Mr. Clausen will do this. <br /> 4. The Square Danee Club will provide their oc:Tn bathroom facilities. <br /> The Club had asked for the use of the building. This would only be <br /> allowed c<iith proper supervision. The use of the phone would be for <br /> emergency use only and under the direction of Mrs. Billik. The Park Board <br /> also asked, that if there is dancing in the Park, that it not continue <br /> after midnight. <br /> Mr. Conlin was asked if there were any rmembers from the City of Lino Lakes. <br /> Mr. Conlin did not know. He told the Board that the Boy Scouts and members <br /> of the Club willpplice internally. They would also ask that the Lino <br /> Lakes Police Department be available to them if they were needed. <br />
