May 20, 1974 The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes Park Board was called to order at 5:00 P.ii. on May 20, 1974. Members present; Kent, Clausen, Resch,Kendall. Absent; MidGeary, LeTourneau, Brisson.- sir. McLean was also present. The minutes of April 21, 1974 were approved as presented. Mr. 11cLean reported on the following; items; The bleachers and backstops have been cleaned and are up on blocks ready to be painted. Mr. Backlin has acquired the paint for this. Mr. McLean has cleared the misunderstanding as to the Posts on the North boder of Lino Park. The Posts are to be installed according to the original specs. As soon as the fence is installed, the Lions Club will proceed with the seeding and sodding of the Park as planned. There is about $1200.00 available for this work. Mr. Resch and Mr. Kent presented a rough draft for development of the Hall property. They had also observed stumps being dumped in this area and asked that no more debris of any kind be dumped in this area. They will get together on the draft and work out the details to be presented at the next meeting. Mr. McLean felt that before this is finalized, the Board will require the services of Mr. Starr. n A Mr. Ed Conlin appeared at the Park Board meeting in regards to the Circle Squares Square Dance Convention camp out at Sunrise Park. Since permission for this camp out had been given over a year ago, and a new Ordinance has been passed, 'rir. Conlin felt that he should clear up some points. It will be necessary to obtain a variance to the Ordinance since campins is prohibited. The camp out is planned for June 14,15 & 16. The Park Board passed on the foll_c._rfb recommendations to the Council; 1. No parking on any playing area of any of the ball diamonds, this includes the outfields. 2. Some sort of a bond to be posted to insure clean-up and to repair any damage done to the grounds. 3. Three Park Board members will meet with Mr. Conlin on Sunday evening at 6:00 P.M. and inspect the grounds with him. Mr. McLean, Mrs. Kendall and Mr. Clausen will do this. 4. The Square Danee Club will provide their oc:Tn bathroom facilities. The Club had asked for the use of the building. This would only be allowed c<iith proper supervision. The use of the phone would be for emergency use only and under the direction of Mrs. Billik. The Park Board also asked, that if there is dancing in the Park, that it not continue after midnight. Mr. Conlin was asked if there were any rmembers from the City of Lino Lakes. Mr. Conlin did not know. He told the Board that the Boy Scouts and members of the Club willpplice internally. They would also ask that the Lino Lakes Police Department be available to them if they were needed.
