RECREATION FOCUS CbMMI= MEETING <br /> TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 1994 <br /> MINUTES <br /> In attendance: Brian Bourassa, Pam Taschuk and Ray Weber <br /> Committee reviewed minutes and were passed <br /> Brian asked what is done with the minutes when completed, action <br /> plan. Barry explained he takes what is discussed at a meeting <br /> and follows all leads considered at the previous meeting and <br /> brings them to the next meeting for discussion. <br /> Subcommittee Report: <br /> Barry has a drafted letter to go out to the teen committee, but <br /> has not sent it as of yet. He explained that the letter should <br /> go out next week. Barry explained that in the letter is the <br /> upcoming programs and discusses future events. <br /> ADA news: <br /> Barry explained that Becky Dvorak, Therapeutic Recreation <br /> Specialist is no longer with the city. She has decided to pursue <br /> other interests. Barry explained that we will be interviewing <br /> very soon to fill this position. Brian asked if she was full <br /> time and Barry replied that she was not. Barry mentioned that he <br /> hoped to see more progress in this area and continued to say with <br /> a new staff person and direction more progress will be attempted. <br /> Brian asked if Barry new her qualifications. Barry said that she <br /> was a masters student or had her masters in Therapeutic <br /> Recreation. She was interviewed, but that was some time ago. <br /> Barry said that other people are interested in this position. <br /> Review New program evaluation: <br /> Barry led this discussion on a new form to look at the previous <br /> year and the current year program. This two column report will <br /> look at actions needed and actions taken in program offerings. <br /> Barry hopes this report will clearly identify where and if <br /> programs need to be corrected. He also eluded to placing a graph <br /> on the back of this report that indicated attendance, budget <br /> (income/expenses) and other information. <br /> Programs: <br /> Barry had mentioned that he is currently working on Summer <br /> programs that the Recreation Focus Committee suggested. Barry <br /> also eluded to other programs that he is currently working on. <br />
