RCWD
EROSION CONTROL
REQUIREM,:ENTS
1. Install erosion control before any grading work is started on the site.
2. When using silt fence, the silt fence must be dug into the ground 6 and
the back-fill tamped firmly. Use 2"x2" posts, 4 feet on centers. Use wood
lathes to fasten the silt fence to the posts. Do not just staple It.
3. On steep grades, the silt fence will need woven wire fencing for a backing.
The wire fence should be held in place with steel posts. On steep grades
more than one silt fence may be needed.
4. When using hay bales, the bales must be staked firmly in place. Dig Bales
Into the Ground.
5. The construction driveway must be rocked so truck tires do not carry out
mud to the roadway.
6. Erosion control must be maintained at all times. When cover is established
and there is no danger of erosion, the erosion control can be removed.
7. At any time, the Inspector can require additional erosion control if the
Inspector feels the erosion control that is in place is not adequate.
8. Failure to implement the RCWD erosion control requirements will result in
an immediate stop work order on the site.
POST THIS NOTICE WITH YOUR RCWD PERMIT
CALL 483 =0634 .
Rice Creek Watershed District 3585 Lexington Avenue N., Arden Hills, MN 55126
