RCWD <br /> EROSION CONTROL <br /> REQUIREM,:ENTS <br /> 1. Install erosion control before any grading work is started on the site. <br /> 2. When using silt fence, the silt fence must be dug into the ground 6 and <br /> the back-fill tamped firmly. Use 2"x2" posts, 4 feet on centers. Use wood <br /> lathes to fasten the silt fence to the posts. Do not just staple It. <br /> 3. On steep grades, the silt fence will need woven wire fencing for a backing. <br /> The wire fence should be held in place with steel posts. On steep grades <br /> more than one silt fence may be needed. <br /> 4. When using hay bales, the bales must be staked firmly in place. Dig Bales <br /> Into the Ground. <br /> 5. The construction driveway must be rocked so truck tires do not carry out <br /> mud to the roadway. <br /> 6. Erosion control must be maintained at all times. When cover is established <br /> and there is no danger of erosion, the erosion control can be removed. <br /> 7. At any time, the Inspector can require additional erosion control if the <br /> Inspector feels the erosion control that is in place is not adequate. <br /> 8.
